Pork tenderloin with caramelized onion and banana

Pork tenderloin with caramelized onion and banana
Both the caramelized onion and the fried banana add sweetness to this simple dish whose main ingredient is pork tenderloin; a very tender meat that offers us endless possibilities in the kitchen, we love it!

It is a dish without any complications in which we will invest approximately 40 minutes of our time. Brown sugar speeds up caramelization of the onion, but we must make sure that it is tender before if we want to achieve an optimal result. You can do a little more and use it to make some fantastic and quick sandwiches with Gruyère cheese for dinner.

Ingredients

For two

  • 1 pork tenderloin
  • 1 cebolla
  • 1 level teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 2 small ripe bananas
  • Olive oil
  • Black pepper
  • Sal Island

Crafting

We cut the onion Julienne and poach it in a frying pan with a jet of oil. We do it slowly, until the onion is tender and begins to take color. At that point, and to speed up the caramelization process, add a teaspoon of water and a teaspoon of brown sugar and mix well, letting it cook for a few more minutes. The onion will caramelize and take on a nice toasted color.

While the onion is done, we make the sirloin steaks pork, a little thick about 1,5cm. We season and reserve them.

When we have the onion ready, we fry the steaks of pork tenderloin in hot oil to seal them. We want them to be done well on the outside and that they are pink in the center.

Next, in the same pan, we fry the bananas cut into 4-5 pieces and sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper.

We place the pork tenderloin on the plate and drop the caramelized onion. We complete the plate with the fried banana.
