Pear and chocolate muffins for an impromptu snack

Pear and chocolate muffins

There are recipes that you feel the need to "copy" as soon as you see them. So it happened to me with these pear and chocolate muffins from «Dulces Bocados», some bite-size muffins that are very easy to make and that will soon disappear.

Everything that has pear or apple in my house flies, if we also add chocolate, it is guaranteed success. This is a perfect recipe for a "impromptu" snack. Easy muffins with a very special touch of candied pear. Try them and combine them with the apple cinnamon muffins.

Crafting

We prepare a syrup bringing the water with the sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Cook for 5 min and after that time add the sliced pear to the syrup. Cook them for 5-10 min and turn off the heat, removing the sheets and placing them on a parchment paper.

We preheat the oven at 180º and grease the 6 molds (if they were not silicone)

We beat the egg with the brown sugar in a bowl until doubled in volume. Later we add the butter, the flour with the yeast and the milk one by one, mixing gently with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula before adding the next ingredient.

Finally add the chopped pear and the chocolate, mix and fill the molds halfway.

Bake for approximately 16 minutes (we check with a skewer), remove from the oven, unmold and wet the surface of each cupcake with the pear syrup. To finish we place two slices of pear on top and let cool.

Notes

This time I used a few silicone molds slightly smaller than the usual steel ones, where I have also tried to make them. They are more flirtatious and if you have to present them they will be more showy.

I'm glad you like it! It's a great recipe for exceptions, and you can always skim the chocolate if you want to cut down on those calories a bit. Much better to prepare this type of recipes at home taking care and knowing the ingredients we use, than to buy industrial pastries; they are healthier whims.
