I love these types of desserts, made with common ingredients and very simple to make. The pear and chocolate crumble It is just one of the many varieties that this dessert admits, characteristic for that mixture of flour, butter and cereals that is the crumble.

Once you know how to make a good crumble, you can have several ingredients and cover the seasonal fruits with it: apples, pears, peaches, plums ... After a hit in the oven, you will achieve a hot dessert with a crunchy coating that will combine perfectly with ice cream or yogurt very cold. Do you dare to prepare this recipe of English origin?

Ingredients

For two people

  • 2 pears
  • 20 g. of butter
  • 30 g. of sugar
  • 1/2 lemon

For the crumble

  • 50 g. cold butter
  • 50 g. Of flour
  • 25 g. brown sugar
  • 50 g. oat flakes
  • 40 g. chopped chocolate

Crafting

We preheat the oven at 190º and prepare a small baking dish, greasing it with butter.

We peel the pears and we cut them in half. We rub them in lemon so that they do not darken. Next we core the halves with a small knife or spoon.

Heat the butter in a pan. When it starts to bubble, add the sugar and pears. Cook over high heat until the pears are golden brown and the sugar has caramelised. When that's the case, we put them in the baking dish.

We now prepare the crumble. To do this, in a bowl we work the butter with the flour and the chopped oat flakes until we get a crumbs texture. We then add the brown sugar and the chopped chocolate and stir.

We place the crumble on top of the pears and take the source to the oven for 40 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown, be careful not to burn!

We serve hot.
