Peaches in red wine

Ingredients
  • 4 peaches
  • 1 liter of red wine
  • 1-2 cinnamon sticks
  • 200 gr. sugar
  • Lemon rind
  • 2 spice cloves (optional)

Preparation
  1. To prepare the peaches in red wine, we will start by putting a saucepan or a pot with the red wine and sugar, cinnamon, lemon rind and some spices if you like, if not as is. We stir everything well and put it on the fire.
  2. We peel the peaches, I leave them whole, it can be done in halves, removing the bone or in pieces. I leave them whole.
  3. When the wine in the pot begins to boil, add the peaches.
  4. We let them cook, turning them over so that they are done for everything. We will leave it cooking over medium heat until they are tender about 1 hour, depending on the peaches. If you make them in a pressure cooker in 8 minutes they will be ready.
  5. When they are we let them cool in the pot. Once they are warm we take them out and reduce the wine over high heat until it is a little thicker like a sauce, when it is to your liking we turn off. We serve the peaches with this sauce
  6. They keep well in a dish covered with red wine in the fridge.
