It is not the first time that we prepare a crumble in Kitchen Recipes. We have tried them with strawberries, pear and chocolate ... We like them, because they do not involve any difficulty and they are a great resource to serve as dessert, seasonal fruits. Today we bet on one peach crumble, Do you dare to try it?
In a crumble, various fruits are combined with a dough made from flour, butter and sugar. To this mixture that serves as a base, various spices and aromas can also be added. Although the most common is to present this baked dessert In a simple way, today we structure it to give it the shape of a bar.
- 2 cups of peaches, peeled and diced
- ⅓ cup of sugar
- 3 teaspoons cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon of orange juice
- ½ teaspoon orange zest
- 1,5 cups of flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup of cold butter in cubes
- ½ egg
- 2 tablespoons of liquid cream (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup sugar
- Sugar
- Ground cinnamon (optional)
- We preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- We mix in a bowl the filling ingredients until they are perfectly integrated.
- We prepare the crumble mixing the flour, baking powder and salt in another bowl. Add the butter and pinch the mixture until it looks similar to crumbs.
- In a cup lightly beat the egg and we mix it with the vanilla essence and the cream. Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture, add the sugar and mix well.
- In a Baking dish (18x12cm) greased, we spread half of the «crumbs» and compact slightly. Next, we pour the filling evenly and cover with the remaining crumbs.
- We sprinkle sugar (and cinnamon) and we take it to the oven for 45 minutes or until golden.
- Let it temper and cut into squares. We serve alone or with a scoop of ice cream.
