With the stuffed pasta that we can find today in supermarkets we can prepare food in little more than five minutes. However, if we want to make an accompaniment like the one I propose today, we will have to dedicate a few more minutes; few, not many.
The spicy sauce with which I accompany pasta today is not really a sauce. It is a sauce based on onion, pepper and zucchini to which we have incorporated crushed tomato and bastard sauce, a spicy sauce that you can substitute for the one you like the most in the desired quantity.
You can also do without it if you are not lovers of spicy or there are children at home. The recipe itself is tasty enough not to need that extra spice, I assure you! Sofrito is a great accompaniment and not only for this pasta dish, but also for meat and fish.
The recipe
- 1 envelope of stuffed pasta (for 2 people)
- 1 red onion, minced
- 1 green Italian bell pepper, chopped
- ½ red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small zucchini, diced
- 1 glass of crushed tomato
- ⅔ teaspoon of Bastard sauce
- Sal Island
- Extra virgin olive oil
- In a pan we put 3 tablespoons of oil and sauté the onion 6 minutes.
- Then add the peppers and a pinch of salt, mix and fry for 6 more minutes.
- We add the zucchini and cook over medium heat 5 minutes with a lid for satin. Afterwards, we uncover and continue cooking until the zucchini is tender.
- Entonces we pour the crushed tomato and the Bastarda sauce mixed and stir well.
- We let the whole cook for two minutes, which will take cook the stuffed pasta in boiling water.
- After two minutes, we serve the stuffed pasta, drained, with the sauce and the hot sauce.
