No-bake vanilla flan

Today I bring you a no-bake vanilla flan, a dessert that everyone will like. This vanilla flan is very simple, with few ingredients and without an oven we can prepare a great dessert.

Is a traditional homemade dessert It can be prepared in many ways and flavors, nowadays there are many varieties, but the one that our grandmothers prepared was the typical one with eggs and corn flour (Maizena) that was never missing after a meal. It is a homemade, simple and inexpensive dessert.

It can be prepared from one day to the next that will be betterIt can also be made in the form of a cake as I have prepared it or in individual flan dishes.

Ingredients
  • 1 liter of milk
  • Yolks 4
  • 8 tablespoons cornmeal
  • 8-10 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
  • A jar of liquid caramel

Preparation
  1. To make the vanilla flan without an oven, first we will take a mold and put liquid caramel in its base. I have bought it but you can do it at home.
  2. On the other hand, we take a liter of milk and separate a glass. The rest we will put in a saucepan with the tablespoons of sugar and the tablespoon of vanilla, we will have it over low heat and stirring.
  3. With the rest of the milk that we have in the glass, add the 4 egg yolks, stir until they are well integrated.
  4. We add the cornmeal little by little to the glass of milk integrating it very well without leaving lumps.
  5. When the milk in the saucepan begins to boil, we will add the milk from the glass with all the ingredients that we have beaten.
  6. We will stir without stopping so that it does not stick to us.
  7. We will stir until it begins to thicken and starts to boil, then we will remove it from the heat.
  8. We'll keep stirring for a minute.
  9. Pour all the mixture into the mold, let it warm and put it in the fridge for 4-6 hours. Or overnight.
  10. At the time of serving, we will put it in a source turning it over where all the caramel is.
  11. And ready to eat!!!
