The champignon is a fungus that contains a large amount of  very beneficial nutritional properties for our health. They contain a large percentage of essential minerals for the body, such as magnesium, phosphorus, iodine or potassium. In addition, mushrooms are rich in a multitude of vitamins, proteins and fiber. Among all the benefits that this fungus gives us, we can find:

  • They are diuretics, so they help reduce fluid retention
  • Its high content in fiber favors the correct functioning of the intestinal transit
  • It is good for the eyes and helps control migraines
  • The mushroom is rich in folic acid, making it a perfect food for pregnant and lactating women

These are just some of the benefits of mushrooms, but it is also a very low calorie food that is very well digested. Ideal for people who are in slimming process or simply for all those who want to maintain a healthy diet. Mushrooms can be prepared in many ways, as an accompaniment to fish, poultry or with Quinoa.

Ingredients
  • 1 kg of large mushrooms
  • 200 g of serrano ham in cubes
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • parsley
  • 1 lemon
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • shawl

Preparation
  1. First we wash the mushrooms well, removing the soil from the entire surface well, remove the stem and dry with absorbent paper.
  2. We prepare a large griddle or a non-stick frying pan with a little olive oil.
  3. When it warms up, we place the champinoñes on the griddle, lower the heat and cook on both sides.
  4. While we are preparing the filling, peel and cut the very minced garlic well.
  5. We put the garlic in a bowl, add parsley and the juice of half a lemon.
  6. Once the mushrooms are cooked, we fill with the garlic mince and the ham cubes to taste.
  7. Cook the mushrooms with their filling for about 5 more minutes, at the last moment we add another splash of lemon juice on top.
  8. And ready! in a few minutes you have this delicious dish ready to serve.

Notes
It is important to serve the stuffed mushrooms at the moment, therefore it is preferable to cook them just before serving.
