Mix of spices for the Moorish skewers (lamb or beef)
Lamb skewers are essential within the Maghrebian gastronomyThey are very easy to prepare, we just have to know the mixture of spices and cook them on the barbecue. Today I bring you the mixture of spices for the Moorish skewers, which can also be served with lamb or veal. Let's go to trouble!
Ingredients (for a 50 ml bottle)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- Half a teaspoon of black pepper
- A quarter teaspoon of ginger
- 1 teaspoon paprika sweet
- A pinch of strong paprika (paprika)
- A pinch of cinnamon
Crafting
As with the previous mixture we are going to use a large jar that we can close to make the mixture. In it we put the cumin, parsley, pepper, ginger, the two types of paprika and cinnamon, close and shake very well. When we have it we will keep it in a closed boat.
When it comes to using it
When we want to make the skewers we will have to cut the meat into cubes, place it in a container and add the mixture of spices, salt and olive oil. Some also add finely chopped onion and, instead of dried parsley, they use it fresh. We stir so that the meat and spices mix well and we will leave it like that for half an hour.
Then we will nail the meat on the skewers and cook them on the barbecue. Another option is to do without the skewers and cook them in a pan.
Bon appetit!

It's more of a kebab than a skewer… but the recipe is good enough for that. Thanks for sharing!
