Microwave pastry cream

Easy and quick pastry cream to prepare, in the microwave. Many times we see recipes with cream fillings and for not preparing it we do not make them and it is a shame since the pastry cream is very simple and fast. Although I have put vanilla, if you do not like it you can do without it or put less quantity.
It can be done over the fire being very careful as it sticks right away in the casseroles or in the microwave like the recipe that I bring you today. With this recipe you will not be lazy to make pastry cream in 5-6 minutes we have it ready.
A great pastry cream for any dessert or filling, it will be very good and you will be very good making delicious homemade desserts.

Ingredients
  • 500 ml. milk
  • Yolks 4
  • 80-100 gr. of sugar depending on how sweet you like it
  • 40 gr. corn flour (cornstarch or starch)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Preparation
  1. To prepare the pastry cream in the microwave, we will start by putting the milk, the cornmeal, the eggs and the vanilla essence. We beat with the mixer until everything is integrated and without lumps.
  2. Strain the mixture passing it to a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. We put the bowl in the microwave at 800W of power for 3 minutes. We take out, stir and return to the microwave at the same power for 2 minutes.
  4. We take out again, we stir and if the cream is not there yet, we put it again for a minute and so on until it is creamy. We cover it with plastic wrap, leaving the plastic attached to the surface of the cream. We keep it in the fridge if we want it to be cold.
  5. We already have the pastry cream to prepare delicious desserts.
