Mashed potatoes with tuna


Mashed potatoes with tuna, a very complete and easy-to-prepare dish. We can prepare it with different fillings and prepare hot or cold dishes, depending on the filling.

The recipe that I propose today is hot, it has a filling of tuna in oil, it is a great dish for children, where they eat fish with potatoes in a way that they like. With this recipe we are good and we can prepare it as a single dish.

  • 1 Kilo of potatoes or 2 packages to make puree
  • Milk
  • 2 cans of tuna in oil
  • Butter
  • Grated cheese
  1. We will take the two cans of tuna, drain the oil and put it on a plate, chop it a little.
  2. We prepare the puree, we can do it in a package using milk to make it taste better, we do it as indicated by the manufacturer or we mash the potatoes, first we peel and chop them, we put them in a pot with hot water with a little salt, We leave them until they are cooked.
  3. When they are, we drain them and we pass them through a masher, we add a little milk to make the puree softer.
  4. We take a baking dish and put half of the puree covering the entire base of the tray, on top we put all the tuna and finish covering with the rest of the puree and covering all the tuna, smooth the surface well.
  5. We put on top a layer of grated cheese and a few pieces of butter, we take the tray to the oven at 180ºC with the grill on and we leave it until it is well browned.
  6. And ready to eat!!!
  7. If you want you can also put a layer of fried tomato and cover it with the cheese, the children like it a lot.
