Do you remember the microwaved carrot What did I teach you to prepare a few weeks ago? If you haven't had time to try it yet, this is a good opportunity to do it! We will use it to prepare a complete pasta dish: carrot macaroni and ham cubes.
This pasta dish has a good vegetable base. I have included in the same onion, pepper and leek and then added the natural carrot cooked in the microwave. This way we get all the vegetables to be tender in just six minutes, making this dish a great alternative for those days when we have less time.
At home we eat pasta once a week and we often do it this way, combining it with different cooked or baked vegetables. It is just one of the many options we have; we could prepare them too with cheese sauce o gratin with chorizo and tomato.
The recipe
- 180 g. macaroni
- 2 tablespoons of extra virgin oil
- 1 cebolla
- 2 green peppers
- 1 leek
- 50 g. of ham cubes
- 1 glass of tomato sauce
- Black pepper
- 4 carrots to the natural (see recipe)
- We chop the onion, the pepper and the leek. The sauté with olive oil extra virgin in a pan for 8 minutes. We take the time to prepare the carrots in the microwave.
- After 8 minutes we add the ham cubes and we saute a couple of minutes.
- Then we add the tomato sauce, a little black pepper and cook for approximately 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, we cook the pasta in plenty of salted water following the manufacturer's advice.
- Once the pasta is cooked, we drain it and incorporate it along with the carrot to the pan. Mix and cook the whole for a minute.
- We serve the macaroni with carrot and freshly made ham cubes.
