Lentils with potatoes

We are going to prepare some lentils with potatoes a rich stew, simple and easy to prepare. A complete dish that is sure to please everyone. A dish that if you want to prepare them faster you can buy the cooked lentils, fry the vegetables, put the lentils, the potatoes, cover with water and leave them until the potatoes are cooked and ready, but if you have time it is better to cook them yourself .

This dish of lentils with potatoes also has vegetables and no fat, a light and healthy vegetable dish for the whole family. You can prepare them from one day to the next that will be even better.

Ingredients
  • 300 gr. lentils
  • ½ green pepper
  • 1 cebolla
  • Carrots 2
  • 2 garlic
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 hoja de laurel
  • 2 potatoes
  • shawl
Preparation
  1. We chop the vegetables, it can be very chopped or it can be put into large pieces. We clean the vegetables, wash them under the tap.
  2. We put everything raw in a pot, we will also add the paprika, we reserve the potatoes.
  3. We cover everything with cold water and put it over high heat until it starts to boil.
  4. When it starts to boil, lower the heat, letting it cook and making chup-chup. We will let it cook.
  5. While the lentils are cooking we prepare the potatoes, peel them and cut them into pieces and leave them in water until it is time to add them to the lentils.
  6. Halfway through cooking the lentils for about 20 minutes we will add the potatoes and the salt, we will let everything cook until they are ready.
  7. When we see that they are almost there, we taste them with salt and put them to our liking.
  8. And they will be ready to eat !!!
