Leg of lamb in cider

 

 

Ingredients:
2 kg leg of lamb
Olive oil
Sea salt
A few sprigs of thyme
16 shallots
1 / 2 garlic head
500ml cider bottle

Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 220 ° C. Rub the leg of lamb with a little oil, and make incisions in the meat and insert the sprigs of thyme into them.
In a mortar, crush half the head of garlic with a little salt and rub the leg with the crushed meat.
Place the meat on a baking tray and sprinkle with half the cider. Cook in the oven for about 10 minutes, pour in the remaining cider and leave for another 25 minutes.
