hummus
Hummus is an internationally known Arabic recipe. It is made from cooked chickpeas but if you don't like legumes, don't worry, hummus has seasonings like lemon, garlic, cumin… so it doesn't exactly taste like chickpeas. As a special ingredient, it has Tahin or Tahina pasta, a sesame paste that you can find in health food stores or organic stores and that has a delicious peanut aroma. It is an appetizer that spread on bread is delicious and that everyone likes.
Doing so is very easy since all you have to do is grind all the ingredients at the same time, so no excuses. If you have never eaten it, now is the time to start making the recipe, I promise you that you are going to love it.
- 400 gr of cooked chickpeas
- 2 tablespoons Tahini paste
- 1 garlic clove
- ½ lemon
- 5-6 tablespoons of chickpea water.
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pinch of cumin
- 1 pinch of sweet paprika

- To make this recipe, all we need is a food processor to blend everything.
- In the glass of the mincer we put the cooked chickpeas, the peeled garlic, the lemon juice, the Tahina paste, the olive oil, the cumin and the salt
- We grind everything together and add the tablespoons of water one by one until we get a dense but spreadable texture. I needed 6 tablespoons of water.
- Once we have the hummus ready, we put it in the bowl that we are going to serve it, we add a splash of olive oil and sprinkle with the sweet paprika.
- Now spread on bread and enjoy.
