Homemade dumplings stuffed with meat

Homemade dumplings stuffed with meat

In the market there are many frozen dumplings stuffed with tuna, meat, ect; but like the home there is nothing. Whenever I have some time I like to make a dough of dumplings to always have and to be able to fill it with whatever I want.

In this case, I have stuffed them with meat since Kids love it. In addition, this meat has been a leftover from some macaroni and meat that I made previously, so we take advantage of it for this recipe. In this way, we save even more when it comes to making more new and simple recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilo of minced meat.
  • 1/2 onion.
  • 2 garlic cloves.
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 tomatoes.
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Thyme.
  • Oregano.
  • 1 glass of white wine
  • Water.
  • Olive oil.

For the mass:

  • 1/2 kilo of flour.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 125 g of lard or butter.
  • 6 tablespoons of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.
  • 1 egg (paint the dumplings).
  • Pinch of salt.
  • Pinch of black pepper

Preparation

First, we will do the dough of our dumplings. In a large bowl, we will mix all the ingredients and knead well until we get a homogeneous and elastic dough that does not stick to the hands. Let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour.

On the other hand, we will carry out the filling. To do this, we will chop all the ingredients and make a sauce. Later we will add the meat and add the spices, stir well and let it cook for a few minutes so that the flavors bind. Then, we will incorporate the wine and when the alcohol evaporates we will add a glass of water. We will let cook over medium-low heat until the water is consumed and we will reserve tempering.

Afterwards, we will take small portions of our dough and we will stretch it with the roller. We will cut in the shape of a circle, we will apply a little beaten egg and we will put a little of the meat made previously. We will close in half and press the edges with a fork.

Finally, we will place all the dumplings on a baking sheet with parchment paper, we will paint with beaten egg and we will bake at 185ºC until golden brown. You can also fry them.
