But if we also add chocolate, we turn the custard into a cream with a spectacular flavor. In addition, you can prepare the chocolate custard in just ten minutes and you will only need four ingredients. And to make it something healthier, the custard does not contain any sugar.

So for sure you will find many reasons to prepare a chocolate custard homemade. Children love them and what better way to offer them a sweet than preparing it yourself at home. You will know what ingredients it contains, the amount of sugars and you will be able to vary the ingredients depending on your tastes. Ingredients
  • 400 ml of semi-skimmed milk
  • 1 tablet of dark chocolate or chocolate pearls
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml of corn flour (cornstarch)

Preparation
  1. First we are going to separate the milk.
  2. In a saucepan we put 300 ml of the milk and we take it to the fire at medium-soft temperature.
  3. If we have the chocolate in a tablet, we chop it and add it to the milk.
  4. We let the chocolate melt completely, stirring with a few rods from time to time.
  5. In a separate container, put the remaining milk and cornmeal.
  6. We dissolve the flour well and add the two eggs.
  7. We beat the mixture well until everything is integrated.
  8. Once the chocolate is well dissolved, we add the previous mixture little by little and without stopping stirring.
  9. Cook over low heat until the custard begins to thicken.
  10. We pour into individual containers and cover with plastic wrap.
  11. Let it warm before putting it in the refrigerator.
