Homemade pita bread, healthy for our fajitas or fillings
The pita bread or wheat cakes They become an essential ingredient in all home cupboards, since they are very versatile, because their filling can be very varied, so making a quick and informal dinner is simple.
That is why today we teach you to do these pan homemade pita, in case you never have it at home or, in this way, eat artisan pastries without any added substance, which after all are harmful to consumers.
Ingredients
- 500 g of flour.
- 250 ml of water
- 1 tablespoon of oil.
- 1 envelope of Royal yeast.
- Pinch of salt.
Preparation
Firstly, Mix the water, oil and yeast in a bowl. We stir well with a rod so that everything mixes well.
Then come on incorporating the flour little by little, first stirring well with the rod, and then with your hands. This step is already better done on a flat surface and with a little flour dusted so that it does not stick.
Once all the flour has been incorporated, and the dough has been worked well with your hands, we should get a homogeneous mass, similar to pizza. We will let it rest for 1 hour wrapped in a clean cloth.
After that time, we will cut the portioned dough, which we will make a ball at the beginning, and then we will crush them with the same hand. We have to leave a fat of half a finger approximately.
Finally, we will place them on paper on a baking tray and the we will bake at 200 ºC until we see that they have risen a bit and are somewhat toasted.
These you can fill with whatever you want, burrito meat, Bolognese meat, chicken with vegetables, chicken with lettuce, tomato and onion, etc.
