Sliced bread, ham and egg baskets
This recipe has two positive things, its simplicity and the pleasure resulting from opening the basket and break the egg. We all like that feeling of seeing the yolk flow, that is why it is important to adjust the oven time well, we do not want it to cook.
This recipe is ideal when you have guests; you do not stop presenting some eggs with ham, but you do it in a different and original way. It is also a recipe that admits many variables and allows you to play with the sausage that you have at home. You can also combine the egg with vegetables, stay with the recipe for this kettledrum.
Ingredients
For each basket
- 1 slice of sliced bread without crust
- 1 small egg or 2 quail eggs
- 10 dices of serrano ham
- Grated cheese
- 1 teaspoon butter, melted
Crafting
We start by flattening the slices of bread with a rolling pin so that they are thinner. Then we arrange them carefully, so as not to break them, in the cupcake molds forming little baskets.
Brush with a little melted butter, without passing us.
Place half of the ham cubes in the bottom of our basket and then crack two quail eggs or a small chicken egg.
We put the rest of ham cubes on top, around the edges and cover with plenty of grated cheese.
We put in the oven, previously preheated to 190º for 15 minutes. The time will depend on your oven, be careful, it is not advisable for the yolk to cook.
