Preparation
- To make the hake with potatoes and paprika, we will start by peeling the potatoes, wash them and cut them into slices.
- We put a large pan with water, put the potatoes with the bay leaf and a pinch of salt, the amount of water that only covers the potatoes, without leaving them dry. We will have them about 15 minutes over low heat
- On the other hand we clean the fish, it can be frozen, so you have to defrost it first. We dry it well.
- When the potatoes are tender, we put the pieces of fish on top, we will have it over a very low heat, so that the hake is cooked, about 5-6 minutes.
- We prepare the paprika, in a frying pan we put a good jet of oil to heat over low heat.
- Peel the garlic, cut it into slices, add it to the pan, let it brown slowly and release all its flavour. We add a small chilli if you like it spicy, it is optional.
- When we see that the garlic begins to brown, remove the pan from the heat, add a couple of tablespoons of the water from the potatoes.
- Serve the potatoes with the hake and sprinkle a little of the oil with the garlic on top and sprinkle with the sweet paprika to taste.
