With Christmas so close, there are many of us who are already finalizing the details of the menu. In Cooking Recipes, as we do every year, we will propose a simple and inexpensive menu to enjoy the holidays. It will be next weekend. Today we are satisfied with this starter: cheese toasts and roasted grapes.
I was not sure what to call that simple entree. Grapes can be prepared both in the oven and on a grill. The case is to mark them and serve them warm along with a cream cheese and honey. Sounds good right? It is also a quick and easy recipe; ideal for not missing anything.
- 200 g. cream cheese
- 150 g. feta cheese
- 1 tablespoon of chopped thyme
- 2 tablespoons honey
- A pinch of salt
- 6 slices of toast
- 2 cups of grapes of different varieties
- Olive oil
- Honey
- Salt flakes
- Some basil leaves
- We prepare the cream cheese mixing and beating both cheeses until smooth and creamy.
- Then, we incorporate honey and thyme and we mix again to integrate the flavors.
- We adjust the salt point and reserve in an airtight container in the fridge, up to 15 minutes before serving.
- We toast the slices of bread in a frying pan, with a drizzle of olive oil.
- We prepare some grape skewers and we place them on a grill. We are turning until they are golden brown on all sides.
- Once done, we let them warm and we remove them from the skewers.
- We assemble the toasts with a layer of cream cheese and some grapes. Decorate with a drizzle of honey, some basil leaves and some salt flakes.
