Green beans with rice and chorizo
For this weekend I have prepared a very simple recipe based on green beans. These vegetables are very versatile, they can be eaten in many ways and they tend to combine very well with other foods. In addition, you can find it frozen, so they are very fast to cook.
For those days when we don't have much time to hang out in the kitchen and, in addition, to take advantage of the leftover rice from Another dish, we can make this recipe for green beans sautéed with rice and some slices of chorizo, this will give a great flavor to the recipe.
Ingredients
- 300 g of round green beans.
- 200 g of rice.
- 1 piece of chorizo.
- 2 garlic cloves.
- Olive oil.
- Water.
- Parsley.
- Thyme.
Preparation
First of all, we will cook we will make the rice. To do this, we will put a small pot with a good drizzle of olive oil. We will fillet the two cloves of garlic and brown it in the oil, then we will add the rice and spices. We will stir a little so that the rice takes on all the flavors and we will incorporate double the water. We will cook for about 20 minutes over low heat.
While the rice is being made, also we will cook the green beans. In a tall pot with plenty of water, when it starts to boil, add salt and add the green beans, letting them cook for 8-10 minutes.
Once everything is done, we will cut the chorizo into thin slices. We will brown it in a pan with a few drops of olive oil. Later we will add the cooked green beans and the rice, we will stir a little so that the flavors bind and, voila!, To enjoy this delicious recipe.
