We launch the weekend preparing in Las Recetas de Cocina a great pasta dish for the whole family. A casserole of chicken gratin pasta and spinach that will take very little time to prepare and will allow you to enjoy other activities on the weekend.

It is a very strong dish that can served as a single dish. The pasta is served with pieces of chicken and spinach, as well as a good amount of cheese, of course! The ideal is to eat them warm and freshly made, when the gratin is crispy and the inside is smoky.

Ingredients
  • 220 g. pasta, in this case macaroni
  • 1 chicken breast cooked and cut into cubes
  • 1 cup tomato sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup of fresh spinach
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ⅕ cup grated
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil

Preparation
  1. We preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  2. We cook the pasta in plenty of salt water, following the manufacturer's instructions. Once it is done, soak under the stream of cold water and drain.
  3. In a large bowl we mix the chicken, the pasta, the spinach, the tomato sauce and / 3 of the Parmesan cheese.
  4. We spread the mix in an oven safe container.
  5. We spread the breadcrumbs over the pasta and top with the leftover cheese.
  6. We cover the container with aluminum foil and we bake 25 minutes. Then we remove the paper and bake another 10 minutes for the cheese to brown and the casserole to bubble.
