Ingredients
  • 1 kilo of potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • A splash of milk (optional)

Preparation
  1. To prepare the gratin mashed potatoes, we will start by peeling the potatoes, cut them into small pieces.
  2. We put a saucepan on the fire with a little water and salt, when it starts to boil we add the potatoes and let them cook for 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked.
  3. We remove the potatoes and drain the water well, put them in a bowl and with the help of a fork we crush the potatoes or we can use a mash, but not with mashs with the blender, since it is very bad, and very liquid.
  4. Add a little butter to the potatoes, stir and with the heat it will mix together with the potato, heat the milk and add little by little to the potatoes until we like it, if you like it very light or thicker. We put a little salt. We mix, test and rectify.
  5. We put the puree on a baking sheet, cover with grated cheese.
  6. We put it in the oven to gratin at 200º C or with heat it is also cold. We leave it until it is golden.
  7. You can also put it in individual casseroles and thus serve it for each diner.
