The gluten-free homemade bread that we will prepare today for all celiacs contains corn starch and thyme so that they can be enjoyed without deprivation with their lunch or dinner intakes or as an aperitif spread with a dip or butter.
Ingredients:
4 eggs
5 heaping tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon gluten-free self-rising powder
1 tablespoon dried thyme
Salt, a pinch
Preparation:
In a bowl, place the yolks together with the sugar and beat them until you get a foamy preparation. Add the pinch of salt and cornstarch together with the gluten-free self-rising powder (previously sifted).
In another bowl, beat the whites and add the dried thyme. Prepare a loaf pan and spread it with a little butter and sprinkle it with gluten-free flour. Pour the mixture into the mold and cook in a hot oven for 30 minutes and then lower the temperature to minimum and cook until the surface of the bread is golden and crisp. Finally, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool before consuming.
In the recipe for cornstarch bread, when the ingredients talk about 5 tablespoons of cornstarch, would the spoons be the size of the one that follows the teaspoon or the large spoon like turning the rice?
