Garlic bread, breakfast or Mediterranean snack

Garlic bread

All Andalusians will know which is the best breakfast to be able to recharge the batteries and, thus, have a day full of energy and a lot of courage. A good Andalusian muffin with its tomato, ham and cheese with a touch of olive oil and garlic rubbed on the crumb, food of gods without a doubt.

Well, today we are going to make a bun or garlic bread so that this ingredient is integrated into the same bread, in this way, said bread will have all the flavor we want, and can not only serve for breakfast but also for a snack, or any light dinner.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cloves of garlic.
  • 1 glass of milk
  • 10 g of baker's yeast.
  • 250 g of flour.
  • Serrano ham.
  • Semi-cured cheese.
  • Olive oil.
  • Salt
  • 1 egg.

Preparation

To start, we will place the milk in a saucepan together with the peeled garlic. We will let it boil over low heat for about 5 minutes, so that the milk takes on all the flavor of the garlic.

We will add this liquid little by little to the bowl where we have the flour and butter, kneading well everything by hand until a homogeneous dough is formed.

We will cut the dough into two or four portions, making the small buns and placing them on the baking sheet. We will make two incisions and we will paint it with beaten egg, and we will let it ferment for half an hour at room temperature. After this time, we will put it in the oven at 180ºC for 15-20 minutes.
