Fruit pie

La pie of fruits is a very quick and helpful dessert for the weekends in which we can have unexpected visits. In addition, with this cake we can make children eat fruit, introducing them in a fun way to the intake of these foods.

In addition, it is a recipe in which they can intervene to assemble it and thus see the fruit as a rich, healthy and fun food. Therefore, today we wanted to prepare it for you to do it this weekend, it will surely be excellent for you.

Ingredients

  • Assorted fruit of intense and diverse colors.

For Broken mass:

  • 400 g of flour.
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  • 100 ml of olive oil.
  • 130 ml of cold water.
  • Salt

For custard cream:

  • 1/2 liter of milk.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 50 g of refined corn flour.
  • 125 g of sugar.

For syrup:

  • 200 ml of water
  • 200 ml of sugar.

Preparation

First, we will do the Broken mass. In a large bowl we will sift the flour and add the olive oil, sugar and a pinch of salt. We will knead with our hands until we get a sand texture and, at this moment, we will incorporate the water little by little until we get a dough that does not stick. We will make a ball that we cover with plastic wrap and we will put in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, we will carry out the custard cream. To do this, we will put the milk to boil and part, in a bowl, we will beat the eggs a little to which we will add the refined corn flour and the sugar, stirring well. We will incorporate the hot milk into the bowl, mix well and pour the mixture back into the pan, stirring well so that it does not stick until the cream forms. Let rest.

Then we will stretch the dough on parchment paper and placing it in a circular mold greased in olive oil. Press a little so that it adheres, forming the walls well and then placing all the layers. We will arrange a circle of vegetable paper on the base and adding some chickpeas so that the dough does not rise. We will put in the oven preheated to 180 ºC for about 20 minutes.

Then, we will peel all the fruits and we will cut them into thin slices. In addition, we will make the syrup by placing the ingredients in a saucepan, stirring until the sugar dissolves and letting it boil for 2-3 minutes.

Once the dough is baked, let cool and cover the base with pastry cream and then curiously place the fruits cut in a spiral shape. Pour a little syrup over the fruits to add shine and cool.
