Fried doughnuts

Yesterday we left you a traditional recipe for the easternthe famous French toast. Therefore, to continue with typical Easter recipes, we leave you a very typical dessert for these holidays, the fried donuts coated in sugar and ground cinnamon.

A great idea for the children's snack or as a quick breakfast. These fried donuts can last for several days since the dough is homemade, so you can make enough to distribute among the neighbors or even save for later days.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs.
  • 100 g of sugar.
  • 50 ml of milk.
  • Vanilla essence.
  • Orange zest.
  • 50 g of butter.
  • 1 sachet of yeast.
  • 400 g of flour.
  • Sunflower oil for frying.

Preparation

First, we will do the dough of these fried donuts. To do this, we will beat the eggs with the orange zest and the sugar until it doubles in volume. Then we will add the milk, the essence of vanillaand melted butter.

On the other hand, we will mix the yeast with the flour and we will sift it over the previous wet ingredients until it forms a soft and moist dough. We will wrap this in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for two hours.

After this time, we will remove the dough from the refrigerator and take small portions to make curlers elongated, which we will join their tips to make the typical shapes of donuts.

Finally, the we will fry in abundant hot oil on both sides and drain on kitchen paper. Afterwards, we will coat them in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon or we will sprinkle icing sugar on top.
