Flan with condensed milk in the oven
El flan with condensed milk It is a basic of our recipe book, a very helpful dessert before any unforeseen visit. Simone Ortega, through her 1080 cooking recipes, has taught many of us to prepare it in the oven.
In the oven the process is slower than in a pressure cooker but given time, it tastes more. One can read or even take a short nap while the oven does its job. A simple recipe for a very versatile dessert that you can accompany with fruit or cream. You can also try the quick chocolate flan or of cheese; they are all delicious.
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 bottle of condensed milk (370g)
- 2 cans of whole milk
- A few drops of vanilla essence
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons of water
Crafting
With the sugar and water we prepare in a saucepan over medium heat a light candy to cover the bottom of our flanera.
In a bowl we beat the 3 eggs and add the condensed milk, mixing until incorporated. Then the milk and vanilla are added and mixed until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Pour the dough into the mold.
We prepare a large container with water, in such a way that when introducing the flan in it, the water reaches more than half the height of the flan. It is the way to cook it in a bain-marie.
We introduce this container in the oven at 190º and when it takes approximately 5 minutes, we introduce the flanera to the Bain Maria. Cook for approximately 40-45 minutes or until the knife or toothpick comes out clean.
Let it cold down and we dismantle in a fountain.
Notes
The oven time will vary according to the characteristics of the oven and the flanera. It will be enough that the first time you cook it, you keep an eye on it from the first half hour.
