Endives gratin
Endives are one of the foods that most helps with digestion thanks to the bitter taste of its leaves. Despite this, we can soften that bitterness by accompanying them with a light béchamel or any other food so that they are also palatable by children.
In this way, today we present you these endives stuffed and wrapped with ham sautéed with béchamel to make a delicious plate of totally healthy lunch. This type of food is highly recommended for its optimal functions for the sense of sight.
Ingredients
- Endives.
- Serrano ham slices.
- Slices of cheese.
- Bechamel.
- Grated cheese.
- Water.
- Pinch of salt.
Preparation
First, we will put the endives to cook in water with a little salt for about 15 minutes. Then, we will let them drain well on absorbent paper.
When they are warm, we will cut them in half lengthwise and the we will fill with a half slice of Serrano ham or bacon and another of cheese. We will close them and wrap them with another slice of whole Serrano ham.
Finally, we will put them in a deep baking dish and we will sprinkle some of bechamel made previously and a little grated cheese. We will gratin them some 15 minutes at 200 ºC.
