Eggs stuffed with fresh cheese and olives

At last! My kitchen is already finished and I'm back here. And I start the month of August with a appetizer very cool and that, although it is very simple, it is always attractive. It is about stuffed eggs, something that surely you will all know how to do, but since the filling can be almost whatever you want, I decided to show you what I chose for this occasion.

Eggs stuffed with fresh cheese and olives

Degree of difficulty: Easy

Preparation time: 20-25 minutes

Ingredients for 6 people:

  • 6 eggs (1 per person)
  • 150 gr. of cheese (It can be cheese spread type Philadelphia if you prefer)
  • Olives (in my case black, green and red)

Preparation:

First of all you must cook the eggs. Put water on the fire and, when it boils, add salt and put the eggs to cook. The shawl it will help make it easier to peel them later. In about 15 minutes they will be ready, cool them with water and remove the peel. Cut the eggs in half, remove the yolk and reserve them in a separate container.

When serving ...

In my case I used two medium plates and put 6 egg halves in each one. In the center I put a few green, black and red olives to give the dish a little color.

Recipe suggestions:

  • If you want you can use mayonnaise instead of queso fresco, but the calories will go up ...
  • As for cheese, you have a great variety. You can choose a classic spread, with fine herbs, light ... It all depends on your taste and the caloric level you want to achieve.
  • Instead of olives you can only use many more ingredients such as crab sticks (surimi), corn, prawns chopped ... The variety is infinite !.

The best…

  • Despite how simple it is, its presentation always draws attention and manages to be a appetizer of success.
  • If you have children who refuse to eat eggs, this recipe can help you. Instead of fresh cheese you can make a pink sauce mixing mayonnaise a little bit of ketchup. Then add ingredients that you like, for example, a good combination can be corn and surimi. You will see how the problem is solved.
  • It is suitable for both formal and informal dinners. In the case of the formal ones, you can give an extra to the presentation by placing 3 slices of olives on top, arranged in a row. You will see how they like it!

And without further ado I wish you good luck, enjoy the recipe and have a good weekend.

I love stuffed eggs with whatever it is since it admits you of everything you want to put on it, but have you tried using half a peach in syrup as a base instead of egg? although later the egg is one more ingredient to add to the filling. I love trying it, and I no longer tell you if you put a Pedro Ximenez reduction on top, but just a few drops. Greetings to all and thank you for making cooking easier for others

Hello Jsabel! I have seen recipes that use half a peach in syrup instead of egg as a base, but I still did not dare to try it. Since you recommend it, I will cheer up and, surely, you will see it here ^ _ ^ Thank you very much for your comment, greetings!
