Ingredients
  • 750 ml. orange juice
  • 2-3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 50 grams corn flour (maizena)
Preparation
  1. To prepare the orange cream cups, we will start by cleaning the oranges, wash the skin well and dry.
  2. Grate the oranges before extracting the juice.
  3. Then we squeeze until we get all the juice, about 750 ml. We set aside about 100ml.
  4. Put the orange juice in a saucepan, if it is very sweet you can leave it without adding sugar. If you like it sweeter, we will add the sugar that we like. We also add the zest of one or two oranges. We reserve a little.
  5. Put the saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. In the 100ml. of juice that we have reserved must be at room temperature, add the cornmeal, stir until it is well dissolved without lumps.
  7. When the orange in the saucepan is hot, add the glass of orange where we have dissolved the cornmeal.
  8. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens. Once it starts to thicken, remove from heat.
  9. We put the cream in small glasses, we put orange zest on top. Let cool to room temperature, then put them in the fridge for 3-4 hours or in the freezer, so it will be a very good cold cream.
