Cauliflower with bechamel sauce is the recipe with this vegetable that I liked the most. An exquisite dish that may well deserve a 10.

Ingredients
  • 1 cauliflower
  • 200 grams of gruyère cheese
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 500 ml of milk
  • Cheese for gratin
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Nutmeg to taste
Preparation
  1. In a pot we boil in our water cauliflower, well cut and separated by bouquets. It will be enough to let it do for a few 10-15 minutes but not too tender, but the cauliflower can be chewed well. We want it al dente not ground.
  2. While the cauliflower is being made, in a separate saucepan or pan we make the bechamel that will accompany this cauliflower and give it a different touch. The first thing we will add will be the 500 ml of milk and the flour ... heating over low heat and stirring at the same time. Next, we will add the grùyere cheese cut into small blocks and without stopping stirring, we will let it be completely melted and without lumps. The next thing is to add the butter, salt, a pinch of black pepper and nutmeg. These last two species to the taste of each one.
  3. Once we have made our bechamel, we put it aside while we take out the cauliflower. We put the latter in a oven safe tray. We add the béchamel on top and add a little grated cheese for gratin. We put in the oven for about 10 minutes to brown the cheese that we have added, and that's it!
