This rice with onion and pepper returns us to the simple routine after Christmas.

Ingredients
  • 1 cebolla
  • 1 green pepper
  • ½ red pepper
  • 2 cups of rice
  • Olive Oil
  • 4½ glasses of water
  • Sal Island
  • 1 spoonful of fried tomato
Preparation
  1. Chop the onion and pepper and fry them in a low casserole with olive oil and a pinch of salt.
  2. When they are tender and slightly golden, we add the tomato sauce and we give a few turns to incorporate it.
  3. Next, we add the rice. Sauté it over medium-high heat for a few minutes and cover it with water.
  4. Let the rice cook and if necessary add more water during the process.
  5. Once the rice is tender, remove it from the heat, cover it with a cloth and let it rest for a few minutes.
  6. We serve hot.
