I had some ripe apples and I like this recipe that I have already prepared before, only in this case I have added chopped walnuts and the result is great. They have been some delicious dumplings.
You can put any filling but with apples they are always very good and I really liked the touch of nuts. You can put any dried fruit that you like.

Ingredients
- 1 packet of dumplings wafers
- 3 apples
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 3-4 tablespoons of brown sugar
- Cinnamon or vanilla flavoring (1 teaspoon)
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of water
- Sugar glass
- Nuts
Preparation
- To prepare this recipe for dumplings with apples and walnuts, we will first peel the apples and remove the center. We cut into small pieces.
- We put a pan over medium heat with the butter when it has melted add the apple cut into pieces. We leave them for about 5 minutes to soften.
- Then we add the cinnamon or vanilla and the brown sugar, stir and cook for 5-10 minutes. It depends on how you like the texture of the apple. If you like it very soft, we leave it a little longer and if you like to find the pieces, 5 minutes will be enough.
- We let the apple cool a bit. We chop the walnuts and mix with the apple. We will also turn on the oven at 180º, heat up and down.
- We prepare the dumplings wafers, put a tablespoon of filling on each wafer. We close the empanadilla and with the help of a fork we seal the edges. We put them on a baking sheet.
- We beat the egg in a bowl.
- With the help of a brush we paint the dough of dumplings. We put them in the oven and leave them until they are golden brown.
- When they are golden brown, we take them out and sprinkle with icing sugar.
