Cornstarch flan without oven, a rich simple flan without an oven that we can prepare in a short time and it is very good.
La Cornstarch is used as a thickener, It is used in both sweet and salty. It is very easy to use, first it is necessary to dissolve in cold to add to some hot liquid and this little by little thickens. Although it has more uses, it can be mixed with other flours to make bread and other sweets, it is gluten-free so it is ideal for celiacs.
It is prepared in a short time and does not need an oven.
- 1 liter of milk
- Yolks 5
- 9 tablespoons of cornstarch (90 gr.)
- 200 gr. sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla flavoring
- Liquid candy
- To make the flan with cornstarch without an oven, we first prepare a mold for the flan.
- We make the caramel with sugar in a pan over low heat or we can buy the caramel already prepared.
- We cover the bottom of the mold with the caramel.
- In a saucepan we put the milk to boil, leaving a little in a glass to dissolve the cornstarch.
- We heat the milk that we have in the saucepan with the sugar and vanilla over a low heat and we will stir with a wooden spoon so that the sugar does not stick and it is undone. When it starts to boil, remove from the heat. Let it cool a little for 10 minutes.
- With the milk that we have reserved, we put it in a bowl, add the yolks, mix well, then add the cornstarch and stir until it is well dissolved and without lumps.
- We take 2-3 tablespoons of the hot milk and add them to the mixture of the yolks and cornstarch, stir immediately.
- We put this mixture in the saucepan, stir everything. We put the saucepan to heat over low heat and we will stir until it begins to thicken.
- We remove from the fire. We put it in the mold that we have with the caramel, we let it cool down, we put it in the fridge for 4-5 hours or overnight.
