This is a dish of our grandmothers, the cod was eaten with everything and it was cooked with vegetables, stewed, with potatoes…. It gave a lot of play since then the cod was very cheap, which is now the opposite.

To make this dish so simple, the most entertaining thing is to soak the cod, but you can buy it already soaked and even salt frozen cod is worth it.

Ingredients
  • 4-6 pieces of cod
  • 1 cauliflower
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • Paprika
  • 8-10 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation
  1. To prepare the cod with cauliflower, we will first prepare the cod.
  2. We will desalinate the cod, we will soak it for 48 hours, in which we will change the water, every 8 hours. We can buy it already soaked.
  3. We clean the cauliflower, remove the florets from the cauliflower and wash them.
  4. We put a casserole that is wide with a little water and salt, we add the cauliflower bouquets and let them cook until they are almost tender.
  5. Before the cauliflower is there, add the pieces of cod, let it cook for about 5 minutes or until the cod is cooked, it will depend on the thickness of the cod.
  6. When they are, we take it out of the pan and reserve. We save some of the water and reserve.
  7. We cut the garlic into thin slices.
  8. We put a frying pan with the oil and garlic, we put it to heat over low heat, so that the oil takes all the flavor of the garlic.
  9. We put the cauliflower and the cod in a source, when the garlic has a little color we remove it from the heat and add it over the cauliflower and the cod.
  10. Sprinkle with the sweet paprika. If we want it to have more sauce, we add a little of the cooking water.
  11. And you are ready to eat.
