The apple sauce gives this dish a sweet touch that will surprise many of you. It is undoubtedly a perfect complement to cod fillets; it reinforces the flavor of the dish but does not camouflage that of the cod that continues to prevail. It is also a simple and quick dish; In just over 40 minutes you will have it ready to serve.

Ingredients

  • 4 desalted cod fillets
  • 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cebolla
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika sweet
  • 2 golden apples
  • 500 ml of milk
  • Bread crumbs
  • Butter
  • Sal Island

Crafting

We heat the oil in a frying pan, we chop the onion and the garlic and poach them over low heat until they begin to brown, approximately for 10 minutes.

Now, we add the flour, the paprika and the apple cut into fine segments and stir until integrated.

We pour the milk and we continue stirring while simmering for 10 minutes so that the sauce thickens.

Meanwhile, we place the cod fillets in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. We put them on the fire and wait for the water to boil. So, we remove the casserole from the heat and drain the cod.

We taste the sauce and rectify the salt if necessary.

We cover the bottom of the crockpot with part of the sauce, we place the loins on it and cover them with the rest.

Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and we distribute on this a few cubes of butter.

We introduce the casserole in the oven in gril mode and we wait for the surface to brown, between 6 and 8 minutes. So, we remove from the oven and serve.
