The origin of this food is in England with references in cookbooks from 1703. Its name derives from the original word moofin, whose origin may be due to an adaptation of the French word mufflet (soft bread). The cake was preferably eaten for breakfast or as a snack, and various flavors such as dried or fresh fruit, spices and chocolate were included.
Starting in the 1950s, different packages of Muffins, both in England and the United States in different cafes, patisseries and grocery stores.
Un muffin (also known in other countries in Spanish language as muffin, cupcake, put, cake o what what) is a pastry product made with sweet bread and other ingredients. Baked in custom molds, they have a cylindrical base and a wider surface, shaped like a mushroom. The bottom part is usually wrapped with special pastry paper or aluminum, and although their size can vary, they have a diameter smaller than the palm of an adult's hand.

Time of preparation:
Ingredients:
- 180 grams of butter.
- 100 grams of brown sugar.
- Common sugar
- 3 eggs.
- A glass of milk (not quite full).
- 150 gramos de chocolate for dessert.
- 300 grams of flour
- 20 grams of yeast.
- Salt
- Vanilla
Preparation:
1.- Mix the brown sugar, flour, yeast and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
2.- Cut the chocolate into small pieces, (or use chocolate chips), and add it to the above.
3.- Put the milk over low heat and melt the butter in it. Turn off immediately and let cool for a moment.
4.- Add a teaspoon of vanilla essence and the eggs to the warm milk.
5.- Pour it into the bowl at the beginning and mix until you get a creamy and fine consistency.
6.- Go carefully filling the paper molds, special for baking, for muffins up to a maximum of 3/4 of their capacity and then sprinkle the white sugar on top.
7.- Put in the oven at 180ºC for 20 minutes.
8.- Serve hot.
