Hello girls! The other day we had a birthday party at home, so I started doing the Birthday cake,  and I thought you might be interested and also like it. We had a great time and the cake really triumphed. In this case, I have made it with square cookies, pastry cream and milk chocolate.

There are many people I know who do not like chocolate, so we could make it from custard and cookies only. Or make a small individual for that person, without bringing chocolate. Always keep in mind how many people and what foods the guests like or dislike, so we will avoid that they do not get the bad taste in their mouths of not trying the most important thing, the Birthday cakeNext, below, I have already prepared the ingredient list and preparation for you to do it too. Ingredients

  • Cookies.
  • Milk.
  • Custard cream.

For the chocolate layers:

  • Chocolate bars.
  • Butter.
  • A splash of milk.

Preparation

First of all, it would have to be done with anteriority the pastry cream, I have already left you the link so that you can get the ingredients and the preparation, you just have to click. I also leave you the one of homemade custard in case the pastry cream seems heavy to you.

When the cream is cold or warm, we will start to assemble the Birthday cake. The ingredients and the layers of the cake would depend on how many guests we had. In my case we were 10, so I had to make it something big.

So, we put in a mold a cookie base. These are submerged in a little milk before placing them on the mold, so that later they are not so hard when cutting and eating the cake. To this milk, we can add some type of liquor or coffee so that later they have some flavor. But of course, remember what I always tell you, keep diners in mind, because if you are going to have a children's birthday party we could not add any liquor, but we can dip them in juice or smoothie.

When we have the biscuit base slightly soaked in milk on the mold, we would proceed to add a layer of pastry cream on top. On this, we would place another cookie base, and then add a layer of chocolate. Would go alternating layers with each other (layer of cookies-layer of pastry cream-layer of cookies-layer of chocolate), being the last layer of chocolate, so that its decoration is easier.

For melt the chocolate, We only need to put in the microwave for a few minutes, the chocolate bar divided into pieces together with a splash of milk and a tablespoon of butter. Stir well until all the ingredients are mixed evenly, and pour over the biscuit base.

When we have all the layers assembled, we would only have to decorate the cake. I have used colored noodles, but you can use the two egg whites that we have left over from making the pastry cream to make a meringue, place it in a pastry bag and thus put the typical Happy Birthday !.
