Chicken tajine with olives, traditional Arabic recipe

Chicken tagine with olives

Here you have me again but this time I come with a recipe from another part of the world. We have already seen other times what is a tajineIt is a clay container where everything is steamed over a very low heat, better preserving the nutrients of the food and giving everything a very rich flavor.

This chicken tagine With olives that I bring you today, it is usually served in Morocco when guests arrive, it is very simple and delicious, the best thing is that those who do not know Arabic gastronomy are impressed and are delighted because it is not the typical recipe loaded with spices that we so much they back down sometimes, their flavor is very mild. You already know that if you don't have tajine you can prepare it in a pot following the same steps.

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, chopped
  • Green and black olives
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cebolla
  • Parsley
  • A teaspoon of turmeric
  • A teaspoon of sweet pepper
  • Sal Island
  • Pepper
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • Half a lemon confit (you can substitute it for the juice of half a lemon)

Crafting

The first thing we are going to do is clean the chicken well and place it in a container (like a tupper for example) next to the olive oil, the peeled and crushed garlic cloves, the finely chopped onion, the finely chopped parsley, the turmeric. , sweet paprika, salt, pepper and confit lemon cut into quarters.

Mix well and let the chicken marinate for at least half an hour. Then we will place it in the tajine with a little water and add the olives. We will cook over low heat until the chicken is done and the sauce has reduced to our liking. Serve with chips or salad.

Bon appetit!
