The Chicken Nuggets They are very popular with the smallest of the house for its crunchy texture and its tender interior. And what is a chicken nugget? Something very simple; breaded or breaded chicken pieces that are generally served fried in oil and are usually served with various sauces.
Homemade nuggets can be made in many ways. Today it is more and more common replace traditional batter by others of which quinoa, oats or as in this case the cornflakes. It is a more original way of presenting them, gluten free! and healthier, too, in most cases.
In order to make them healthier, the chicken nuggets can also be baked. This is what I have done for avoid frying fats. Also, using this system to make the oven work for you, isn't that a great idea? I encourage you to play with recipes as simple as these and give it your own touch.
- 400-450g. chicken breast, diced 2-2,5 cm.
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 3 cups cornflakes (no added sugar)
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon of paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric
- We preheat the oven at 190 ° C.
- Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and the we mix with the mustard.
- On the other hand, in a bag of plastic, we put the corn flakes and spices. We give a few strokes to "crush" the corn flakes and shake so that all the ingredients are well mixed.
- Then we put the chicken in the bag and we shake again so that it is well covered.
- We place the chicken pieces on a lightly greased baking dish and bake for 25 minutes. The time necessary for the chicken to be done and the "batter" to take on a nice golden color.
- We take the chicken nuggets out of the oven and serve them with a little salad and some sauce.
