Carrot falafel

Carrot falafel

Falafel is a crushed chickpea croquette. A typical preparation in the Middle East to which we can incorporate many ingredients in order to create different versions. This time at home we have tried these carrot falafel that I am sure we will repeat.

Falafel is traditionally served with yogurt or tahini sauce, but you can accompany it with the sauce that you like the most. Or how we have done without sauces and accompany them with a good salad. If falafel is tasty enough, why camouflage its flavor?

  • 4 tablespoons tahini
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced

  • 1 teaspoon flake salt

  • Frying oil

Preparation
  1. We place in a shredder all the ingredients for the falafel (except the oil) and mix until you get a mixture like crumbs.
  2. We catch small portions of dough and we shape the falafel with our hands or with the help of two spoons.
  3. We heat the oil in a frying pan and as we shape them, the we fry in batches until they are golden brown. The oil will have to be hot, like when you prepare croquettes.
  4. After frying them, we place them on a absorbent kitchen paper to remove excess fat.
  5. We serve the carrot falafel with a salad and / or our favorite sauce.
