For breakfast or the picnic we can prepare this delicious cake with cherries. It is very good and so we take advantage of the seasonal fruits to make good desserts.

Ingredients
  • 250 gr. cherries
  • 175 gr. of butter
  • 200 gr. sugar
  • 3 eggs (we separate the yolks from the whites)
  • 150 gr. Of flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • Regular or vanilla flavored sugar

Preparation
  1. In a bowl we will put the butter at room temperature and half of the sugar, we beat it, until it is a fluffy mixture.
  2. When they are well mixed, we will add the yolks separated from the whites and mix them well.
  3. In the bowl where we have the flour, we mix the teaspoon of salt and the yeast, we mix.
  4. We will sift the flour and gradually incorporate it into the dough.
  5. We mix well.
  6. On the other hand, beat the whites until stiff with the rest of the sugar.
  7. When it is we will add half to the dough and mix. We finish putting the rest and mixing little by little, with enveloping movements.
  8. We prepare a baking tin greased with butter and cover it with greaseproof paper, we will place the mold on another baking sheet so that the bottom does not burn.
  9. We incorporate the mixture into the mold.
  10. We cut the cherries on one side and remove the pit.
  11. And we are putting them on the dough, the amount is to your liking.
  12. We put it in the oven at 170º for about 30 minutes, it can vary depending on the oven.
  13. As soon as it comes out as it is very hot, we will put sugar on top, it can be normal, icing sugar or since I have put vanilla sugar, it gives a very good flavor, when you put the sugar with the hot cake it sticks and forms a layer.
