Morenitos, a very tempting classic

The brunettes they are a treat known to all, a sweet temptation that is hard to resist. I recently found an old recipe; Yes, one of those that are written down on a piece of paper that you think you've lost, and I couldn't miss the opportunity to bake them at home.

The result is very similar to commercial brunettes, but with that added satisfaction of having cooked them with your own hands. In my case I chose chocolate negro to wrap them but you can alter the recipe and adapt it to the type of chocolate that you like the most. Chocoholic? On a floured countertop we stretch the dough With a rolling pin to achieve a 1,5 cm thick sheet and cut the cookies with the help of a round cutter or any other tool that allows you to give the brunettes a round shape.

We place them on a tray lined with greaseproof paper and the we put in the oven, about 12 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.

While they cool on a rack, we prepare the chocolate for topping, melting it with the butter in a bain-marie. Then, helping us with two teaspoons and very delicately, we bathe the brownies in the chocolate, drain them and place them on a tray with aluminum foil.

Following, the we put in the fridge 1 or 2 hours for the chocolate to harden.
