Ingredients
  • 100g. cup of brown rice
  • ½ broccoli
  • ½ cauliflower
  • Carrots 2
  • ½ onion
  • Water
  • Sal Island
  • Pepper
  • Hot paprika (or sweet or other spice)
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Preparation
  1. We wash the broccoli and cauliflower and We cut them into pieces that we place in a steamer or strainer, where appropriate, that coupled to the pot allows us to steam.
  2. In the pot we put plenty of water, salt and pepper that we bring to a boil. Once it boils, add the rice, place the steamer on top and cover. We cook the rice the time recommended by the manufacturer. Mine about 40 minutes.
  3. We remove the vegetables as they reach the desired doneness.
  4. At the same time we cook onion and carrots in the microwave. To do this, we cut the carrots into slices or sticks between 1 and 2 centimeters thick. We place them in a microwave-safe container together with the thick julienned onion well spread and add a splash of water and salt. Is it the first time you cook them like this?   5. We cover the container with plastic wrap and introduce it into the microwave at full power for 6 minutes. Then we remove the carrots from the container and drain if necessary.
