Breaded artichokes

Artichokes battered with beer, a simple and very good recipe. Now that we are in the artichoke season, they are very good and tender. We can prepare them in many ways but with the beer batter they are crunchy, juicy and very tender.

We can prepare the breaded artichokes to accompany a dish, as an aperitif or a starter. They are a delight in addition to being very good for our food. Although breaded is not the best way to eat vegetables, for the little ones they are better that way and they will eat them much better.

Ingredients
  • 4 artichokes
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons of flour
  • 125ml. of beer
  • 1 lemon
  • Sal Island
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Mayonnaise to accompany

Preparation
  1. First we will clean the artichokes. We will remove the leaves from the outside until we reach the most tender. we cut the tips and part of the stem. We will clean the hairs that are in the center of the artichoke with the help of a spoon.
  2. We cut each artichoke into 4 pieces, we rub each piece with lemon so that they do not oxidize.
  3. We prepare the batter, in a bowl we put the flour, the salt and we pour the beer little by little until it is a bound mass, but it should not be too light or too thick.
  4. We put a deep frying pan to heat with plenty of oil. We will put the pieces of artichokes in the dough that we have prepared, which is well covered by everything and when the oil is hot we will fry the artichokes.
  5. When the pieces are golden brown, we will take them out and put them on a plate with kitchen paper, which absorbs the excess oil.
  6. Season the artichokes.
  7. And ready to serve !!!
  8. They will be very good accompanied with a mayonnaise sauce.
