We will prepare some tasty beet leaf sandwiches to taste as a hot starter or accompany with different preparations using beef, chicken or fish and thus obtain a complete dish and a balanced diet.
Ingredients:
a bundle of beet greens
1 large leek
minced garlic and parsley, to taste
1 egg
1/2 cup of skim milk
all-purpose flour, amount needed
Salt and ground pepper, to taste
oregano, a pinch
oil for frying, quantity required
Preparation:
Boil the beet greens, drain and chop. In addition, wash and chop the leek very finely and mix it with the beet leaves, garlic and chopped parsley, the egg, season with salt and pepper and the amount of flour necessary to obtain a paste like when we make fritters.
With a spoon, take portions of the mixture and fry them in a pot or pan with the hot oil until golden brown on both sides and then arrange the sandwiches in a dish covered with absorbent paper sheets for a few moments before serving.
