Banana bread

El banana bread o Banana Bread It is typical of American pastries, its preparation is very simple since we will use baking powder. It is a good option to accompany breakfast, although as a dessert with a scoop of ice cream it offers no resistance. When you have those overripe bananas, that is, when no one wants to eat them anymore, it is the right time to decide to prepare this recipe.

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 4 very ripe bananas
  • 180 gr of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 210 gr de harina
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup walnuts in halves

Preparation

We put the butter at room temperature with the sugar in a bowl to beat. When it is creamy, add the eggs one by one and continue beating.

Add a tablespoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of milk and stir a little more. On a plate we mash the bananas with a fork.

Now is the time to add coarsely mashed bananas and walnuts to the egg mixture. With a spoon with enveloping movements we mix all the ingredients well. Finally we incorporate the flour, yeast, salt, and bicarbonate and continue stirring until everything is well united.

Spread with butter and sprinkle with flour an elongated mold, and turn the preparation up to 3/4 parts. We take it to a preheated oven at 180º and let it cook at this temperature for between one hour and one hour and ten minutes. To check the cooking we introduce a knife, although never before 50 minutes.

We can say that it has turned out very well, if the consistency is wet. Cut into slices, preferably when it is cold so that it does not crumble. In this cut we can see the pieces of bananas and walnuts.
