Baked spiced potato wedges

These spiced and baked potato wedges could become a perfect snack to enjoy on weekends at noon. Imagine them accompanied by a sauce of your choice and under the sun on the terrace or balcony. That's right, I enjoyed them last weekend and it will be a repeat plan.

Potato wedges are very easy to prepare. Simply cut the potatoes, soak them in oil and coat them in a mixture of spices, or with breadcrumbs and spices as I propose to do today. Oregano, cumin and paprika have been chosen this time, but I want to try new combinations with curry or mustard as protagonists, for example.

once your work is done the rest will take care of the oven. You will have to keep it running for about 35 minutes, turning the potatoes halfway through so that they cook and brown evenly. Once done you won't be able to resist trying them, but try to wait a few minutes or you'll burn!

Spiced and baked potato wedges are a great alternative as a starter, but also as an accompaniment to grilled meats or vegetables.

Ingredients
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • A pinch of hot paprika
  • A pinch of cumin

Preparation
  1. We clean the potatoes well because we are going to present them with skin.
  2. We dry them and cut in half lengthwise. We cut each half in two again and these in turn in two others. In total there will be 16 potato wedges.
  3. We put two tablespoons of oil in a container together with the potatoes and mixing with a spatula or with our own hands we make sure that all the segments are well impregnated with the oil.
  4. We preheat the oven to 220ºC.
  5. Then mix in breadcrumbs and spices on a plate and coat the potatoes one by one in this mixture, then place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake 15 minutes at 200ºC potatoes and then turn them over to cook for at least another 10 minutes or until tender on the inside and golden on the outside.
  7. We serve the potato wedges spiced and cooked in the oven with some sauce.
